ADMISSIONS

Holy Angels offers opportunities to become either a resident or AngelWorks program participant. The information below will walk you through the important steps recommended prior to enrollment.

Inquire

Please inquire by phone, letter, or in person to Holy Angels’ Social Worker, Judy Roge. Judy may be reached by calling 318-797-8500 or by email at jroge@laholyangels.org. You may also complete the admissions inquiry form to express your interest. We will be glad to provide information or answer your questions regarding our programs and, in general, try to give you an idea of the type of individual who may benefit from our programs.

Apply

If you and the Holy Angels team determine that the program fits your needs, please fill out the admissions application that will be provided by the Social Worker/Admissions Representative.

We will then conduct a thorough study of the information provided, determine the placement availability and suitability of the applicant, and notify you whether or not to continue with the next step in the admissions process.

Tour

Once you have had a chance to visit with our Social Worker/Admissions Representative, we will ask you to schedule a tour of Holy Angels. You may request to schedule a tour through the admissions inquiry form.

These tours are invaluable and will give you a first-hand view of our group home settings and enterprises. On this tour you will also gain insight into Holy Angels, our history, expectations, and future plans.

Review and Enrollment

Both the Parent or Guardian and the Applicant will be notified to meet with appropriate committee members to discuss long-term goals and family plans.

Following that meeting, you will be notified of their recommendation. The Committee may decide one of the following at this time:

  • Further evaluation is needed.
  • The candidate is not acceptable at this time.
  • The candidate is accepted on a probationary basis. All new clients are accepted on a probationary basis.

If the candidate is accepted, another conference will be held at which time the enrollment and intake procedures are discussed.
