Holy Angels is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that provides love, support, and empowerment through residential services, job training, and meaningful work for individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities. Your support changes how the world views individuals with disabilities.

Our Story
In 1963, three local, prominent families of Shreveport, Louisiana, the Pollards, the Gilsters, and the O’Briens, donated 64 acres to the Catholic Diocese for the purpose of establishing Holy Angels. Today, Holy Angels serves hundreds of individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities ranging in age from young children to senior citizens. A staff of over 200 works to provide those served with a path to self-fulfillment through education, empowerment, spirituality, independence, and work. Nearly 180 individuals call Holy Angels home, and more than 100 participate in the award-winning AngelWorks Day Program along with community clients. In addition, the Community School, a Division of Holy Angels, opened in 2022 to provide Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), outpatient therapies, and education to young clients and their families.
