RESIDENT LIFE At Holy Angels

RESIDENT LIFE

Holy Angels Residential Facility is an intermediate care facility for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. In 1965, the Sisters of the Congregation of Our Lady of Sorrows and a dedicated lay staff began providing unmatched care and training in a family environment for residents and families seeking quality placement for their special needs family members.

Love of God and one another is taught through one’s daily living.

HOLY ANGELS IS HOME

Located on 65 acres of gently rolling woodlands, Holy Angels is home to approximately 185 adults and enjoys a reputation for excellence that is known nationwide.  Residents of Holy Angels are able to experience a full life that includes community integration, family living experiences, recreational and social events, vocation opportunities, and many other advantages, as well as receive training that helps them progress to their maximum potential.

Dormitory settings are available for individuals. In addition, Holy Angels has thirteen group homes serving the needs of residents both on the campus and in the nearby residential community. Older or more medically involved residents may reside on campus, where they can receive all services provided within close proximity.

Holy Angels is blessed to have access to some of the finest medical care in the area. Many of Shreveport’s specialists serve the needs of our residents. While we transport residents to most medical appointments, many physicians regularly visit the facility. First-time visitors to Holy Angels immediately notice the change in atmosphere as they leave the main road and enter the grounds.

A sense of peace and security envelops this special place. Holy Angels, through the years, has maintained a personal touch that makes it unique.
