The Champions for Individuals with Disabilities is a group of young, energetic professionals who are working to become the next generation of leaders in our community. Their focus is community awareness about Holy Angels, and they are working to communicate all of the different programs, events, activities, and economic, donation and volunteer opportunities to the community. The Champions program is designed to help promote engagement with and investment in our community and to provide knowledge about how to give back to the young people of Shreveport-Bossier. Those involved want to make a difference in the lives of the clients served by Holy Angels and truly believe in Holy Angels’ mission to provide a fulfilling life for those with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Our Goal
The goal of Champions for Individuals with Disabilities is to support the clients at Holy Angels, improve their quality of life, and give joy daily by helping them achieve their fullest potential toward a healthy, active, and independent life. In addition to the many volunteer hours the Champions devote to Holy Angels, the group is successfully continuing the process of building donor relationships and loyalty, having developed an annual fund that is thoughtfully devised and executed a plan that creates a strong force of advocates who will dedicate themselves to Holy Angels’ advancement through their philanthropy and volunteer services.
