Holy Angels provides residential care for individuals ranging in age from birth to more than seventy years of age. Residents of Holy Angels have the option of living in dormitory settings or in one of 13 group homes, located both on our 64 acre campus and in the southeast Shreveport area.
Holy Angels offers basic adaptive skills training, vocational education, community and social integration, and encourages healthy lifestyles through recreational activities. In addition, the facility provides ancillary services such as occupational therapy, aquatic exercise, dental care, psychiatric and psychological care—all overseen by our medical directors and staff of registered nurses and licensed practical nurses.
Resident healthcare is supported by the services of Shriners Hospital, University Health, Willis-Knighton Health System and CHRISTUS Heath Shreveport-Bossier. Residents have access to outpatient therapy centers, consulting physicians and dentists based on referrals from our medical team.
Holy Angels employs nearly 300 staff members who care for and train residents, provide support services, and oversee Holy Angels’ management twenty-four hours per day, 365 days per year.
