All Saints Chapel Project

In 2018, the new All Saints Chapel was completed, thanks to the generous support of one of Holy Angels’ founding families, the O’Briens, along with many other generous supporters from the community. The O’Brien family legacy began in 1965, when they donated their share of the 64 acres where Holy Angels sits in the beautiful piney woods of South Shreveport.

The original chapel, built in 1966, served as a beacon of Holy Angels’ God-centered mission for more than 50 years. However, the ravages of both time and the Louisiana climate made it so that the original structure was not able to meet needs of the community or the Holy Angels residents it serves. Issues included limited seating, lack of accessibility, no restrooms, and irreparable foundation damage.

Holy Angels’ leadership, along with the O’Brien family, completed a campaign to raise the $1.6 million required to build a new chapel. On November 1, 2017, the first mass was held in the All Saints Chapel. The project is dedicated in loving memory of Elizabeth “Boo” O’Brien, born on All Saints Day, and in honor of all the residents of Holy Angels.

Gifts continue to be accepted to support the Chapel Campaign. Additional funds raised are placed in an endowment for future maintenance of the chapel. A gift to the Chapel is a wonderful way to honor or memorialize someone close to you. See information below regarding the foundation stone and pew naming opportunities. Thank you for your consideration and for supporting Holy Angels’ All Saints Chapel through your prayers and generous donations.

Foundation Stones & Pews

A donation of this kind provides a  fitting honor and allows for the inscription of your choice to be a part of the All Saints Chapel forever. The stones encircle the sanctuary along the baseboards. A donation of $2,500 is requested and may be fulfilled over a twenty-four month period. A metal plate is placed on each pew, following a gift of at least $5,000.

Please use the online donation form to make your gift and indicate how you wish for the stone or plaque to be inscribed.
