SPORTSMANSHIP: Any contestant that displays poor sportsmanship, violates these rules, or violates any local, state or federal laws will be subject to disqualification.
ELIGIBILITY: Registration is open to all. The rules and registration committee reserves the right to refuse any entry application.
SAFETY: Each team member will be required to wear a Coast Guard approved life vest while the outboard engine is running. The consuming of alcohol during tournament hours is strictly prohibited; any signs of consumption or possession, that team will be immediately disqualified. Due to accountability, all participants must check in at the weigh-in site regardless if your weighing fish.
TEAMS: Teams will consist of 2 paid entrants, and must remain in the boat at all times during event. No one will be allowed in the boat at any time other that the team members.
TACKLE: Only artificial lures can be used.
SCORING: Scoring will be based on the weight-in pounds of bass (Largemouth, Kentucky or Spotted) with a minimum length of 12 inches on a flat board. Fish presented at weigh-in that are less than 12 inches will be disqualified prior to weighing, and 1 pound will be deducted for each undersized fish. Only 3 fish per team will be counted, and only 3 fish in your possession at any time. There will be a deduction of .50 pound for each dead fish. Participant will keep no fish, all live fish will be returned to the river.
FISHING HOURS: Fishing hours will begin at 6:30 am and will end at 2:30 p.m. Weight-in line will close at 3:00 p.m. Official time will be kept by the weigh-in committee.
TRAILERING: You may trailer your boat at any public launch site on any of the Bass Classic locations. You may not start fishing until 6:30 a.m. and you must stop fishing at 2:30 p.m. All teams must be at weight-in line and checked in before 3:00 p.m.
