The Champions for Individuals with Disabilities is a group of young, energetic professionals who are working to become the next generation of leaders in our community. Their focus is community awareness about Holy Angels and making a difference in the lives of our residents.

After a year and a half of fundraising, last year the Champions partnered with the Community Foundation of North Louisiana to fund their first major contribution to Holy Angels, the SNOEZELEN Therapy Room, which provides our residents with a learning environment that is challenging, motivating, stimulating, and calming by offering sensory stimulation and relaxation to people who are often sensory starved and anxious.

The Champions’ newest project will be a one-mile walking trail on Holy Angels’ campus that is resident-friendly and provides a source of education, meditation, and exercise. The trail will combine fitness opportunities with the benefits of being outdoors and stimulating the senses.
