About Us

Holy Angels Residential Facility (HARF), established in 1965 by the Congregation of the Sisters of Our Lady of Sorrows and the Catholic Diocese of Shreveport, is a residential training facility licensed to serve 184 intellectual and developmentally disabled residents. Our organization offers a training environment that services its clients for life, with ages ranging from newborn to senior citizens. Residents live in dormitory settings and community homes.

Our organization is unique in its special culture of Servant Leadership and Spiritual Care that centers on the lifetime commitment made to Holy Angels by the Sisters of Our Lady of Sorrows. The Holy Angels Chapel offers Mass to its residents and to the community every Sunday and on all Holy Days of Obligation. The residents and staff are offered spiritual guidance by local ministers and through a formal contractual relationship with the local Diocese. The spiritual nature of Holy Angels permeates the facility, and one feels a sense of solitude and peace upon entering its gates.
